The Olympia Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society (ARS)
was founded in September 1962 and was the 20th chapter of the
ARS to form. The chapter has 40 plus local members and we welcome
non-members, visitors and guests to our meetings. Meetings consist of a guest
speaker who is knowledgeable about rhododendrons or companion plants,
followed by a social time and then a raffle and door prize give away. In March
we have our fund raiser, which is our annual plant auction.
On May 1-5, 2013, our chapter along with the other chapters in District 3 will be hosting
the 67th Annual International convention of the American Rhododendron Society at the SeaTac Marriott Hotel.
